EXERCISE TIP
Here are some important exercise tips to get you on the right track to fitness. Exercise tips should always be attempted after you have medical clearance from your physician. Exercise tip is a quick reference for you to use at your gym, at home, or on travel. Please use exercise tip wisely and enjoy a great workout.
Always warm up properly
Lift weight in a slow, controlled fashion, never swinging the weight
Do not rest more than 30 seconds between each set
Back Exercises
Always start each exercise with a good stretch (letting the arms extend away from your body) and remember to try to initiate each movement by first pulling your shoulders down and back. Do not initiate each exercise by flexing the elbow. As you complete each rep, focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together. Back exercises include rowing movements and any variation of pulldown exercises.
Chest Exercises
As you begin each chest exercise, remember to squeeze your shoulder blades together and try to keep them in that position through the entire range of motion. This will allow you to minimize the involvement of your deltoids and focus more on the chest. Chest exercises include the bench press, pec deck and any variation of dumbbell presses (flat, decline or incline bench).
Another important exercise tip is to stretch after you are already warmed up. It is a good idea to stretch after your workout.
